Defending champion Beachwood knocks off heavy favorite Meddybemps in NLCS, advances to DOSBall World Series

Game 1: BEA 3, MED 1. BEA's Clay Buchholz fires a 1-hitter. Craig Gentry broke up the no-hit bid with a single in the 9th.

Game 2: MED 6, BEA 5. Walk-off homer by Jay Bruce evens the series at a game apiece.

Game 3: MED 7, BEA 3. The Lakers pound out 14 hits and got a two-run homer from Freddy Freeman to go up 2-1 in the series.

Game 4: BEA 7, MED 5. The Lakers lead 5-4 going into the bottom of the 11th, but Adam Rosales' hits a walk-off, pinch-hit homer.

Game 5: BEA 6, MED 3. Beachwood bombs MED starter Jon Lester, scoring five in the first inning and never looked back en route to a 3-2 series lead.

Game 6: BEA 5, MED 2. David Price clinches the series by pitching seven strong innings. Mark Reynolds added a two-run homer as Beachwood advances to the World Series.
