Tug Fork and Beachwood met tonight to decide the inaugural World Series Champion of Dosball.
In a true conflict of style, TUG brought in their big bats who had homered 17 times already in the play-offs; meanwhile, BEA's pitching staff came in to the series with a play-off era of 2.08.
Game 1
Detweiler (TUG) vs Price (BEA)
BEA gets on the board early in this one as Aoki singles to lead off the bottom of the 1st. After Pete Orr advances him to 2nd, David Cooper and Justin Ruggiano both hit rbi doubles to give BEA a 2-0 lead.
BEA adds to its lead in the 2nd. McKenry hits a 1-out single. After David Price twice fails to sacrifice McKenry to 2nd, he laces a double to left advancing McKenry to 3rd. Aoki lays down a beautiful squeeze bunt to increase Beachwood's lead to 3-0.
Ruggiano added a 2-run blast in the 3rd to up the score to 5-0.
Neil Walker collected the only hit for TUG as Price was dominant. He stuck out 9 with 3 walks in the complete game 1-hit shut-out.

Game 2
Capuano (TUG) vs Lohse (BEA)
This time TUG takes the lead 1st on a Garrett Jones solo blast in the
2nd. The lead is short-lived when Ruggiano walks, steals 2nd and
scores on Chris Nelson's double in the bottom of the frame.
Beachwood increases it's lead to 3-1 in the 3rd when Orr doubles and Andy Dirks follows with a 2-run blast.
TUG comes back in the 8th. Ph Steve Pearce walks and is replaced by pr Jordan Schafer. Nick counters by bringing in Taylor Teagarden to replace McKenry. Schafer steals 2nd and is brought home on Roger Bernadina's double. Kris Medlen comes in to face Adrian Beltre. Beltre lines out to 2nd and Bernidina is caught off 2nd base to wipe out the threat. TUG went down quietly in the 9th.

Game 3
Medlen (BEA) vs Happ (TUG)
Chris Johnson leads off BEA's 2nd with a single which is followed by Mark Reynolds single off of Happ's leg. McKenry bunts over both runners and Medlen follows with a 2 rbi single to give himself an early 2-0 lead.
The score stayed that way until the 7th when Reynolds and McKenry both reached and Aoki followed with a 2 out 3 run blast.
Beachwood piled in the 8th when Donovan Solano walked with 2 outs and went to 3rd on Johnson's double. Ph David Cooper was intentionally walked before Pete Orr hit a bases clearing triple.
TUG finally scores in the 9th when Bernidina reaches and Beltre doubles him home.

Game 4
Price vs Detweiler
Dirks hits a solo homer in the 1st to give BEA an early lead. The
Bombers add another run in the 2nd when McKenry doubles in Chris
Johnson.
Dirks hits a 2 out double in the 3rd and Ruggiano doubles him in to make it 3-0 Beachwood.
Johnson hits a 1 out single in the 6th off Casey Janssen. One out later, McKenry reaches when Garrett Jones couldn't handle the throw from Beltre which would've ended the inning. Price follows with an rbi single.
In the 7th, Dirks singles off Clay Rapada. He steals 2nd and scores on Ruggiano's single.
