Game 1: Beachwood 2, Las Vegas 0
Price tosses a two-hit, complete game to stop the Tourists. Johnson hits a home run in the second and Dirks drives in Aoki in the third with a single. The Bombers get three hits off Dickey in seven innings. Price strikes out seven and walks two. Las Vegas' Jones doubled to open the ninth, then Price got Rios, LaRoche and Beltran out for the win.
Game 2: Las Vegas 7, Beachwood 3
Having already announced his retirement Chipper Jones has a great day at the plate as the Tourists win. Jones hits a home run in his first three at bats and follows that up with two doubles. He goes 5-for-5, with four runs scores, five RBIs and 16 total bases. LaRoche adds two RBIs. Hernandez works 6.2 innings for the win. He allows three runs (two earned) while scattering seven hits, walking two and striking out five. Beachwood gets and RBI single from Dirks and scores run on an error and a wild pitch. Lohse takes the loss after allowing six runs in five innings.
Game 3: Beachwood 4, Las Vegas 3
Ruggiano's seventh inning home run gave the Bombers a 4-1 lead and the Beachwood pitching staff was able to preserve the lead. Las Vegas got to starter Medlen in the bottom of the seventh scoring runs on a doubles by LaRoche and Ellis. After a walk, Fien replaced Medlen and got pinch hit Dobbs to strikeout. Rios gave the Tourists a 1-0 lead in the first with a solo home run. In the second, Beachwood took the lead for good as the Bombers rallied with two-out for a pair of runs off starter and loser Sabathia. After Johnson doubled and Reynolds was intentionally walked, McKenry reached on an error by Nix, that scored Johnson. Medlen followed with a run-scoring single.
Game 4: Beachwood 2, Las Vegas 0
Price tossed a three-hit shutout in his second start to defeat the Tourists. Price walked none and struck out five. A two-run home run by Ruggiano was the only support the Bombers needed. Dickey allowed two runs in six innings.
Game 5: Beachwood 7, Las Vegas 1
After being roughed up in the Game 2, Lohse bounced back tossing a two-hitter to push the Bombers into the National League Championship Series. Lohse, who fanned six, allowed a leadoff home run to LaRoche in the second then retired 24 of the next 25 hitters including the last the 19 in a row for the win. The Bombers supported Lohse with a 13-hit attack. McKenry struck the big blow in the second with a three-run home run that gave Beachwood a 4-0 lead. Beachwood added two in the fifth on a triple by Nelson. In the seventh, Nelson tripled in another run.
